Thanks for checking out my blog! I’m an Okanagan wine enthusiast that recently moved from Vancouver to Kelowna to grow my career in the BC wine industry. In 2019, I started reviewing wines on Instagram @Pouredbyjay with the intention to promote local wineries and share my thoughts about the wines I’m enjoying.

 

Through my Instagram, I’ve put to use my Communications degree and wine education from the Canadian Wine Scholar and WSET 2 certifications. I love learning and spend most of my free time reading and watching videos on the past, present and future of BC wine. This blog is the next step in sharing my love, passion and excitement for the wineries that call Okanagan home.

 

Buying and supporting local businesses is an important value for me. During my time working as a BC wine specialist at a large retail store, I loved guiding customers through the aisles to find the right wines that suit their palate. Life is too short to drink wine we don’t enjoy!
